Choosing an estate agent: cheapest or best?

Cheapest or Best?

Many people are reluctant to pay for the best estate agents, and at face value, who can blame them?  We all like to save our hard-earned money where possible.

However, when it comes to selling your home, we believe it’s important to market it in the best way possible, with the best agent possible.

You can compare choosing an agent to buying a block of cheese.  Browsing the supermarket shelves, you’re often looking for the best price.  However, the price tag isn’t the full story.  It’s actually far wiser to look at the cost of cheese per KG.  This will tell you how much cheese you’ll get for your money. If you are drawn in by a big red price tag, you’ll often end up with less cheese (or less value) overall.

Similarly, an estate agent with a higher fee may put you off.  However, if they get you a higher sale price, you’ll likely end up with more profit at the end.  A better estate agent will cost more because they put more into selling your property.

The best agents have dedicated marketing teams, professional photography and unrivalled local links and contacts.  This means your property can sell for the best possible price, in the fastest possible time.
